Welcome and thank you for your interest in our practice.
Dr. Carl M. Block's personal and professional philosophy is to always provide the highest quality of care for his patients. This means that he carefully examines each patient's individual health needs, and attends to his or her specific concerns. As there can only be one correct diagnosis, there may be several options for treatment in which he and his staff will help you to make an informed decision.
We are pleased to announce that effective December 11, 2008 our practice became accredited by The Joint Commission on Accredited Healthcare Organizations. We were the first and are currently the only periodontal practice in the United States and only one of three in the country in dentistry with this elite type of accreditation.
Universities and hospitals are required to have The Joint Commission accreditation; however, for our office this was a voluntary process that we chose to participate in order to provide the safest and highest quality of care to our patients. This award is for three years at which time our office is required to be re-inspected in order for the accreditation to be renewed. To learn more about The Joint Commission please click here.
Periodontal disease can be a severe infection of the gum and jawbone, is a leading cause of adult tooth loss in the United States and has been connected with complications in pregnancy, cardiovascular disease, respiratory problems and diabetic complications. Our goal is to work closely with your general dentist to preserve your health for a lifetime. If you would like to learn more about this topic, please click here.
Dental implants are the most optimal replacement for missing teeth for some patients. They anchor your teeth to the jaw, just as a natural tooth root would. This provides optimal stability for your teeth and supports the health of your jawbone. For more information on dental implants, please click here.
We offer advanced care in the fields of regenerative (new gum and bone growth) periodontics, periodontal plastic surgery and implant dentistry. Using the latest techniques, we remain at the forefront of these continually advancing fields.
If you have any questions, or would like to schedule a consultation, please call our office at (804) 378-2068, or email us . We look forward to providing you with excellent care.
